Brixton Motorcycles in India: Austria-based Brixton Motorcycles has announced its entry into the Indian market. The company has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors for sales and dealership network in the country. The deal aims to launch an exclusive range of motorcycles for Indian customers and set up a manufacturing plant in India.
What is the purpose of the company?
Brixton’s entry into India is driven by KAW’s strategy to present its European image to Indian riders, after nearly two years of careful planning with Veloce Motors. The Austrian brand is owned by KSR Group, which also owns several mobility brands like Motron Motorcycles, Malaguti Motorcycles.

According to a press release, Brixton has said that it will initially launch four models in India, although the company has not yet confirmed which models will be brought to the country. These models are being developed at the Austrian Design Center in Brixton, and manufactured at a new advanced facility owned by KAW Veloce in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Company will set up R&D center
Taking this collaboration a step further, Brixton and KAW Veloce are set to set up a research and development center in India. This initiative aims to develop a model specifically for the Indian market and will help India become a strategic export hub for Brixton into the South East Asian and African markets.
Company will create dealership network
Apart from manufacturing, Brixton Motorcycles also plans to build a large dealer network across major Indian cities. The plan includes launching 15 dealerships by the end of 2024 and expanding to 50 centers by next year, ensuring ease of access for customers across the country.
The first bike will be an adventure tourer
Brixton’s first offering for the Indian market will be an adventure tourer which will be launched in the global market later this year. After this it will be done in India around the festive season this year. Brixton will offer a wide range of motorcycles ranging from 125 cc to 1,200 cc capacity.
KAW Veloce currently sells, services and supplies parts to brands like Benelli, Kiway, Moto Morini and Zontes in South Maharashtra and North Karnataka regions.
