2024 Tata Altroz: Tata Motors is preparing to launch Altroz Racer in the Indian market. However, it seems that the domestic manufacturer is also working on updating the Altroz, which is a premium hatchback. Some important features are going to be added to the 2024 Tata Altroz and it was recently spotted testing.
What’s new in the 2024 Tata Altroz?
Tata Motors is expected to add some features to the new Nexon and Altroz. It may have a new 26.03 cm TFT screen for the instrument cluster. Currently, the premium hatchback comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster, which houses an analog speedometer and a screen for the rest of the information.
Interior and Features
It may also have a new touchscreen infotainment system, which will be larger than the current unit. For reference, the current unit measures 17.78 cm, while the Nexon’s unit measures 26.03 cm. The new infotainment system is also equipped with more features and more connected technology. It will also have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Mechanical update
There will be no change in the engine of 2024 Tata Altroz. It will continue to be offered with three engine options. It has a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. It also has a CNG powertrain, which customers can get.
Tata Motors unveiled the Altroz Racer at the Auto Expo 2023, which is expected to be launched in the Indian market soon. Its engine will be shared with the Tata Nexon and power and torque outputs will be rated at 120 bhp and 170 Nm. The gearbox will be a 6-speed unit instead of the 5-speed unit currently used. The Altroz Racer will also come with some cosmetic changes.
