Xiaomi has announced a price cut on its affordable Redmi Pad models in India. Launched in October 2022, the Redmi Pad tablet aimed to bring premium features like 2K display, powerful battery and more at aggressive pricing.

Now with further discounts, it becomes an even more value-for-money option in the budget tablet segment.

Price

The Redmi Pad was originally introduced in three variants in India:

  • – 3GB RAM + 64GB storage: Rs 14,999
  • 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 17,999
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 19,999

Post price revision, here are the new prices applicable on all purchases:

  • 3GB + 64GB: Rs 12,999 (Rs 2,000 off)
  • 4GB + 128GB: Rs 14,999 (Rs 3,000 off)
  • 6GB + 128GB: Rs 16,999 (Rs 3,000 off)

This makes the base model cheaper by Rs 2,000 while the higher-end ones are now Rs 3,000 more affordable. You can also avail an instant discount of Rs 1,500 when purchasing via ICICI Bank cards or EMI transactions.

Performance

Despite a lower cost, the features and specs luckily remain the same on the Redmi Pad. So what all do you get?

It sports a big 2K resolution LCD screen of 10.61-inches with slim bezels and a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth animations. Powering the tablet is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 chip with up to 6GB RAM for reliable multitasking.

For photography needs, there is an 8MP front camera with 105° FoV. Software-wise, it runs the latest MIUI 13 interface and includes productivity tools like split-screen, floating windows and document scanner.

The Redmi Pad packs a 8000mAh battery capacity coupled to a 18W fast charger. Connectivity options involve dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C port and quad speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

Budget Segment

With top-notch display quality, excellent battery backup, good performance and Xiaomi’s promise of timely software updates, the Redmi Pad makes for a practical pick in 2023 if you want an affordable yet decent tablet for everyday use.

The discounted pricing now makes it more competitive against rivals from Realme, Lenovo, Nokia and others. So don’t wait anymore to bring home the Redmi Pad – now even better value than before
