Oppo has officially launched its latest mid-range smartphone offering, the F25 Pro 5G, in India, aiming to carve out a space in the competitive smartphone market priced between Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. Unlike last year’s F23 release, this time Oppo introduces the Pro version, hinting at a potential standard F23 in the future. Having spent several days with the F25 Pro 5G, here are my initial impressions.
Design and Colors
The Oppo F25 Pro 5G catches the eye with its sleek design, measuring just 7.54mm thick and weighing a mere 177 grams, ensuring a comfortable grip. Available in Ocean Blue and Lava Red, the device exudes sophistication, especially the latter variant with its textured finish and captivating shimmer when light hits it.
Notably, the phone boasts an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, a feature typically reserved for flagship devices, adding to its appeal.
Display and Performance
Compared to its predecessor, the F25 Pro offers significant improvements in the display department, featuring a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The device delivers HDR content with a peak brightness of 1100 nits and HDR10+ support, enhancing the viewing experience. While stereo output is absent, the device compensates with a “300% Ultra Volume mode” for clear sound output.
Powered by the Dimensity 7050 chipset, the F25 Pro ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks and mobile gaming. With 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 8GB of virtual RAM, coupled with 128GB / 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, the device offers ample storage and multitasking capabilities.
Camera
The Oppo F25 Pro 5G boasts a versatile camera system, featuring a Sony IMX615 32-megapixel front camera and an OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel primary rear camera. Despite the lack of optical image stabilization, the device captures stunning shots and portraits, even in low light conditions. The device supports up to 4K video recording and offers impressive portrait video capabilities.
Connectivity and Features
Equipped with 5G connectivity and Oppo’s LinkBoost technology, the F25 Pro ensures a strong connection, even in challenging scenarios. While NFC connectivity is supported, the device omits a 3.5mm audio jack. The retail package includes essential accessories such as a charger, USB cable, and protective case.

The Oppo F25 Pro 5G comes in two variants:
