Exam Pattern Revamp: Focus on Objective Assessments
In 2019, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) implemented a major change in the exam format, introducing objective-type questions accounting for 50% of the total marks in the Inter exams. For subjects with practical components, the weightage shifted towards theory exams (70 marks) with half of those marks (35 marks) dedicated to Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). This shift aimed to enhance assessment methods and potentially reduce subjectivity in marking.
