Haryana Smart City: Work has started on giving a new direction to urban development under the Master Plan 2031 in Haryana’s Smart City Faridabad. Haryana Urban Development Authority (HSVP) has planned to develop 11 new sectors under the land pooling model. The objective of this project will be to settle the growing population in a systematic manner and expand modern infrastructure in the city.

11 new sectors will be developed

Under this project, most of the sectors will be developed along the Greenfield Expressway along the Yamuna river. There is a plan to settle them along the Greenfield Expressway. Residential, commercial, industrial and transport cities will also be settled in them. After the development of new sectors here, multi-storey buildings will be seen till the Yamuna river.

An official of HSVP said that in view of the rapidly increasing urbanization, a plan has been prepared to establish new sectors, under which new sectors will be developed in the form of Sectors 94A, 96, 96A, 97A, 99, 101, 102, 103, 140, 141, 142. After this, there will be a total of 102 sectors in the city. These include residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

New center of economic development

Out of these new sectors, about half a dozen sectors will be developed along the Greenfield Expressway. This will make movement in these areas easier and create better investment opportunities. With better road network, public transport facilities and expansion of industrial and business activities, this area will become a new center of economic development. Along with modern residential and commercial complexes, facilities like education, health, entertainment and green areas will also be developed in these sectors. There will also be a multi-model transport network.

Haryana Smart City

Under the Land Pooling Scheme, instead of acquiring land from private land owners, it will be developed in a certain proportion and then returned. This will not only avoid the complexities of land acquisition, but will also benefit farmers and land owners. This model will lead to systematic development of the city.
