Haryana Anganbadi Retirement 2025; MLA Ramkumar Kashyap in the Haryana Assembly had questioned Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary about Anganwadi workers. In response to this, Minister Shruti Chaudhary said that there are 1,479 sanctioned posts for Anganwadi workers and 1,454 for helpers in Karnal district.

Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary said that the process of finalizing the selection criteria for filling the vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers in Karnal district is going on. At present, out of 1,479 sanctioned posts, 1,355 Anganwadi worker posts are filled, while 124 posts are vacant. At the same time, out of 1,454 sanctioned Anganwadi helper posts, 1,219 posts are filled and 235 posts are vacant. The department is considering the proposal to fill these vacant posts.

Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary said that there are a total of 25,962 sanctioned posts of Anganwadi workers in the state, out of which 23,413 posts are filled, while 2,549 posts are vacant. Apart from this, 25,450 posts are sanctioned for Anganwadi assistants, out of which 21,011 posts are filled and 4,439 posts are vacant. Selection criteria are being prepared for the appointment of these vacant posts, and appointments will be made on these posts soon.

Eligibility for the posts of Anganwadi worker and helper is decided on the basis of selection criteria set by the state government. However, there are usually some common eligibility criteria for Anganwadi workers and helpers, such as:

1. Anganwadi worker:

Generally the candidate should have passed 10th class (matriculation).

In some states, there may also be a requirement to pass 12th class.

For some posts, candidates from the local area are preferred.

2. Anganwadi Helper:

Candidates must have passed 8th standard.

Candidates from local area may get preference.
