Delhi Mumbai Express: Gurgaon Police and National Highway Authority of India have banned the movement of slow-speed vehicles from Sarhaul Border to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza on Delhi Jaipur Expressway. Even after the ban, if slow-speed vehicles run on the expressway, action will be taken against them under the Motor Vehicle Act.

As per the rules of NHAI

As per the rules of NHAI, to ensure road safety of the general public, two-wheeler drivers (motorcycle or scooter), three-wheeler (e-rickshaw, e-cart), non-motorized vehicle, agricultural tractor, multi-axle hydraulic trailer vehicle, four-wheeler cycles are banned from moving on both the above national highways NH-48 and Dwarka Expressway from Sarhaul Border of Gurgaon to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza and from Kherki Daula to Dwarka Expressway Delhi Border. These slow-speed vehicles will use the service line instead of the main carriageway, otherwise action will be taken against these vehicles under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Police spokesperson ASI Sandeep said that the speed limit on NH-48 and the expressway is high and the speed of the above vehicles is relatively low, due to which there is a danger of accident and there is always a possibility of an unpleasant accident due to traffic.
