Good news for state workers. The labor resources department is set to register workers who are currently employed in states outside of Bihar. Brajmohan Tanti, the labor enforcement officer from Pirpainti, mentioned that all workers residing in other states are being registered through the Pravasi Kamgar App.

This registration process is aimed at workers from Bihar who make their living in places like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, and other states. The goal is to gather accurate data on migrant workers for government use.

With this information, the Labor Department can ensure that these workers receive the benefits, protection, and justice they deserve. Plus, the registration is completely free of charge.

In a separate issue, a significant case of fraudulent land registration has come to light, where buyers concealed the minimum land price (MVR) to commit large-scale fraud against the government. This was uncovered during a verification process, leading to action against those involved. Specifically, there are 115 cases linked to the Bettiah Sub Registrar Office, revealing a revenue loss of Rs 2 crore 92 lakh during land registrations.

District Sub Registrar Officer Girish Chandra mentioned that the report has been forwarded to the Assistant Registrar General for further action against everyone involved. This includes efforts to recover funds from 29 individuals linked to the Bettiah Sub Registrar Office for the financial year 2024-25, along with 86 cases from the previous financial year 2023-24. All these cases have been sent to the Assistant Registrar General for necessary action.

He also noted that this information came to light during an on-site verification of the actual Market Value Rate (MVR) of the land. There may be more similar cases emerging, which are currently under investigation.
