The presence of Virat Kohli felt again during Australia vs India 3rd ODI match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. When there are concerns over his batting performance, the star cricketer showed how he can contribute with his fielding efforts. It was an absolute sensational catch. The ball was travelling at the fast pace, but Virat was quicker than the travelling ball.
Virat Kohli created a sensation by taking a brilliant catch in the ongoing India vs Australia ODI match in Sydney. The third ODI between India and Australia is being played today, October 25th, at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia decided to bat first. After a good start, their innings faltered in the middle overs. Virat Kohli contributed to this by taking a brilliant catch.
Washington Sundar dismissed Matthew Short on the third ball of the 22nd over of the Australian innings. Short played a sweep shot towards square leg. The ball could have quickly gone to the boundary. But Virat Kohli, standing in that position, displayed remarkable agility and caught the ball with both hands. The ball was so fast that Virat fell to the ground upon catching it. Captain Shubman Gill then came and congratulated him. The video of this incident is now going viral on social media.
Virat Kohli saved Team India from a major loss by taking the catch of Matthew Short in the field. But now he needs to show his prowess with the bat as well. It’s worth noting that he hasn’t opened his account yet in this series. In the first ODI, Virat was dismissed for a duck off 8 balls, and in Adelaide, he faced 4 balls and failed to score a single run.
