Why Vaibhav Suryavanshi has appointed as the captain of India Under-19 team?
Ayush Mhatre has a wrist injury, and the BCCI wants to keep him fit for the Under-19 World Cup. Therefore, he has been ruled out of the ODI series immediately preceding the tournament. Had Ayush been available, he would have assumed the captaincy. In his absence, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the most important member of the team, which is why he was given the captaincy.
At the age of 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is already troubling even the best bowlers. He possesses exceptional talent, and the BCCI may be putting pressure on him to see how he performs. If Vaibhav proves to be a good leader, he could be appointed captain of the Under-19 team and could even captain Bihar in domestic cricket.
