The IPL 2025 is being organized brilliantly in India, and fans are witnessing exciting matches. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Super League 2025 will start on April 11, meaning both leagues will clash. Star all-rounder Corbin Bosch had registered for the Pakistan Super League draft, after which PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi selected him. However, later he was added to the Mumbai Indians squad for Rs 75 lakh as a replacement for Lizard Williams. Bosch then chose to play in the IPL instead of the PSL. As a result, the Pakistan Cricket Board has banned him from playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for one year.
Corbin Bosch Apologizes for Withdrawing from PSL
In a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Corbin Bosch expressed regret for pulling out of the Pakistan Super League. He said, “I deeply regret my decision to withdraw from the PSL and sincerely apologize to the people of Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi fans, and the wider cricket community. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the one-year ban from PSL.”
He further added, “This has been a tough lesson, but I am committed to learning from this experience. I hope to return to the PSL in the future with the trust of the fans. I am truly sorry for the disappointment.”
Notably, Corbin Bosch has not yet played a single match in IPL 2025.

Why PCB Banned Corbin Bosch
The PCB banned Bosch for one year to stop players from choosing IPL after committing to the PSL. The board hopes this decision will set an example for others in the future.
Unsold IPL Players to Feature in PSL
To attract more global players, the PSL 2025 is scheduled alongside IPL. The idea is to give a chance to those players who went unsold in the IPL mega auction. Big names like David Warner, Daryl Mitchell, Jason Holder, Rassie van der Dussen, and Kane Williamson—who didn’t get any bids in the IPL—will now be seen playing in the PSL this season.
