After concluding the home series against South Africa, the Indian men’s cricket team will now be back in action in the new year. Team India’s first challenge in 2026 will be against New Zealand, where the two teams will play a crucial white-ball series hosted by India. The tour will feature a total of eight matches, including three ODIs and five T20 Internationals. All three ODIs will be played starting at 1:30 PM IST. Immediately after the ODI series, a 5-match T20 International series will be played between the two teams.

India and New Zealand have played 120 ODI matches so far. India has won 62 of these matches, while New Zealand has won 50. Seven matches have ended in a draw and one has ended in a tie. Both teams have not yet announced their squads for the ODI series.
