Returns for Senior Citizens
SBI offers an interest rate of up to 5.65% to general customers on FDs with a 180-day tenure. Meanwhile, investors over the age of 60 are offered up to 6.15% interest on 180-day FDs. Customers aged 80 years or older can also earn up to 6.25% interest on 180-day FD accounts. You can invest less than ₹3 crore in this SBI FD scheme.

What is the offer?
SBI offers senior citizens 0.50% higher interest on FD accounts than general customers. Additionally, super senior citizens are being offered an interest rate that is 0.10% higher than the rate offered to senior citizens. It is worth noting that the country’s largest public sector bank, SBI, is offering a maximum interest rate of 6.45% to general customers on its special 444-day fixed deposit scheme, ‘Amrit Vrishti’.
