Renault Bridger Electric Launch Soon: Renault has unveiled the Renault Bridger concept, previewing an upcoming compact SUV for the Indian market. Its production version is expected to arrive in India by late 2027. Notably, the Bridger is not being positioned solely as an electric SUV; Renault has confirmed it will feature multi-energy powertrains, including petrol, hybrid, and EV options. The Renault Bridger Electric is an upcoming compact SUV likely to offer 35 kWh and 55 kWh battery options. Its launch is anticipated for late 2027. Let’s take a look at the full details.

Renault Bridger Electric Design

In terms of design, Renault has crafted the Bridger as a compact SUV, and the concept features a highly muscular and boxy aesthetic. It sports an aggressive front profile, characterised by strake-style LED lighting and illuminated ‘Renault’ lettering positioned centrally.

The side profile features squarish fenders, wheel-arch cladding, and 18-inch alloy wheels. On the concept model, the rear door handles are integrated near the C-pillar, giving the side profile a cleaner look. At the rear, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and sharp LED tail lamps lend the vehicle a rugged character.

Renault Bridger Electric 55 kWh Battery

The Renault Bridger Electric is expected to be available with 35 kWh and 55 kWh battery variants. Reports confirm the 55 kWh battery capacity, and both the 35 kWh and 55 kWh variants have been listed separately. However, Renault has not yet confirmed the official driving range for the final production version.

200 mm Ground Clearance and 400-Litre Boot

Specifications for the electric version of the Bridger indicate a ground clearance of 200 mm and the inclusion of 18-inch wheels. Such ground clearance can help make the SUV better suited for Indian roads.

Regarding boot space, the Bridger Electric has a capacity of 400 litres. According to Renault’s concept, the rear knee room in the cabin is reported to be around 200 mm; this figure indicates that despite its compact size, the company is placing significant emphasis on interior space.

Petrol, Hybrid, and EV Options

The most interesting aspect of the Bridger is its multi-energy approach. Renault has confirmed that this SUV will be available with petrol, hybrid, and electric powertrains. It will be built on the R-GMP platform. Through this platform strategy, Renault aims to offer multiple engine options within a single SUV family to cater to diverse consumer needs.

Renault Bridger Electric Launch and Price

As for its launch, the Renault Bridger Electric is expected to arrive in late 2027. Current estimates suggest the price of the electric version could range from approximately ₹14.05 lakh to ₹17.76 lakh. The expected price is listed at ₹14.05 lakh for the 35 kWh variant and ₹17.76 lakh for the 55 kWh variant.
