PM Modi’s Diet Plan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 76th birthday on September 17. He is receiving birthday wishes from across the globe. Along with the general public, celebrities also extend their greetings on this special occasion, wishing him a happy birthday and excellent health. Ravi Kishan and Shatrughan Sinha shared photos with the Prime Minister to convey their wishes. Despite his advancing age, his fitness and energy remain an inspiration to many; he always appears active.

Such activity often leads people to wonder about the secret behind his fitness—specifically, how he maintains such a fit physique at 76 and what kind of diet he follows. Notably, a glow seems to be increasing on his face as he ages.

Last February, during the Pariksha Pe Charcha event with students, he was asked about the secret to his fitness and his diet. Let us explore PM Modi’s diet plan and the foods he includes to stay fit.

What is PM Modi’s diet?

While answering a student’s question during “Pariksha Pe Charcha”, he said, “The truth is, I have never followed a fixed diet plan. At different stages of my life, I had the opportunity to live with various families, and I would eat whatever food was available there. My only rule was that I am a vegetarian and would consume only vegetarian food.”

Eat whatever was available.
PM Modi mentioned that in the past, when he lived with different families, he would eat whatever was cooked there. There were times when he had to cook for himself; on such occasions, he would mostly prepare and eat *khichdi* (a dish made of rice and lentils) to keep his stomach light and ensure easy digestion.

Don’t treat your diet like medicine.
Prime Minister Modi believes that a diet is successful only when it becomes an integral part of your lifestyle. He said, “Your diet should be based on your preference; one should never consume food as if it were medicine.”

The PM says, ‘Eat to your heart’s content.’
PM Modi stated that every individual must decide whether they want to eat merely to fill their stomach or to satisfy their heart. He noted that most people continue to eat until someone stops them. While people may fill their stomachs with grains, they often neglect the body’s other nutritional needs.

PM Modi remarked that in today’s fast-paced life, people often fail to pay attention to their bodies. Amidst the demands of jobs, business, and stress, people often neglect their health. According to him, only a healthy individual can effectively manage their other responsibilities.

Watching the sunrise provides positive energy.
Prime Minister Modi has also highlighted the significant benefits of waking up early and watching the sunrise. He believes that gazing at the rising sun revitalises both the mind and body, and provides fresh energy. This habit helps set a positive tone for the day ahead.
