PM Kisan Update – How to Complete PM Kisan e-KYC from Home? Here Easy Process

PM Kisan Yojana E-KYC: The Central Government runs a highly beneficial scheme for farmers known as the PM Kisan Yojana. Under this scheme, the government provides ₹6,000 in financial assistance annually to farmers. To avail the benefits, farmers must apply online and complete the mandatory e-KYC process. If you have applied but failed to complete the e-KYC, you could face a significant loss—specifically, the installment funds could get stuck. If you haven’t completed your e-KYC yet, we will guide you through the step-by-step process.

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to ensure transparency and prevent fraud. It helps verify genuine beneficiaries and ensures funds reach the right farmers without middlemen. If beneficiaries fail to complete e-KYC, they risk missing upcoming instalments.

PM Kisan Yojana New Rules

The government has introduced a significant change to the PM Kisan scheme for all beneficiaries. Farmers must now update their e-KYC annually. Completing this process is essential before the 24th instalment is credited to the account; farmers who fail to complete e-KYC on time may see their next instalment delayed and could lose out on the annual benefit of ₹6,000.

How to Complete e-KYC

Farmers can complete the e-KYC process in three ways: OTP-based, biometric-based, or face authentication-based e-KYC.
For OTP-based e-KYC, visit the official PM Kisan website and click on the e-KYC option. Enter your Aadhaar number and complete verification using the OTP you receive on your mobile phone.

For face-authentication-based e-KYC, you need to download the PM Kisan mobile app from the Google Play Store. After downloading, open the app and log in using the mobile number registered with PM Kisan. Next, navigate to the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option. If your e-KYC status is not visible, click on ‘e-KYC’. Then enter your Aadhaar number and consent to a face scan. Once your face is successfully scanned, the e-KYC process will be complete.

How to link your bank account with Aadhaar

PM Kisan funds are transferred via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) to the bank account linked to your Aadhaar. If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, the transfer may fail. To resolve this, visit your bank branch, fill out the Aadhaar seeding form, and link your account with the NPCI. You can also check your Aadhaar-bank seeding status by visiting the portal and selecting the ‘Know Your Status’ option.

When will the next installment arrive?

Farmers are eager to know when the ₹2,000 for the 24th installment will be transferred to their accounts. Under the rules of the PM Kisan scheme, installments are released every four months. Based on media reports and trends from the previous year, it is highly likely that the government will release the 24th installment funds towards the end of October or the beginning of November—around the time of Diwali.
