SBI Warns Customers, Beware of KYC Update Links and Many More

SBI: Big news for SBI customers. The State Bank of India (SBI) has warned customers to remain alert against cyber fraudsters sending fake messages in the name of KYC (Know Your Customer) updates. These fraudulent messages often claim that a customer’s KYC is expiring or that their bank account will be blocked unless they update their details immediately.

SBI Warns It’s Customers

Scammers may include suspicious links in these messages and ask recipients to download APK files to complete the KYC process. Clicking these links or installing applications from unknown sources can expose sensitive banking information, compromise mobile devices and put money in bank accounts at risk.

Customers should never trust urgent messages threatening account blocking without verifying the information through official banking channels. They should download mobile applications only from trusted platforms such as the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and avoid clicking unknown links or installing APK files received through SMS, WhatsApp or other unofficial sources.

If customers receive a suspicious KYC message, they should contact SBI through its official channels to verify its authenticity. Anyone who becomes a victim of cyber fraud should report the incident immediately by calling the National Cyber Crime Helpline at **1930** or visiting the official portal, [**https://www.cybercrime.gov.in**](https://www.cybercrime.gov.in).

Staying cautious, verifying messages and avoiding suspicious downloads can help protect customers from online banking scams and financial loss.
