Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Big news has emerged for rail passengers in Uttar Pradesh. Plans are underway to introduce a Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Varanasi and New Delhi. This train will allow passengers to travel comfortably overnight and reach their destinations by morning. According to reports, the service is set to launch on October 31, 2026, offering a range of amenities to travellers.
Easy travel from Varanasi to Delhi
The primary objective of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train is to provide superior facilities to passengers travelling between Varanasi and New Delhi. The journey, covering a distance of approximately 760 km, is expected to take about 9.5 hours. As per the proposed schedule, the train will depart from Varanasi for New Delhi at 8:50 PM and arrive at 6:10 AM the following morning. In the opposite direction, it will depart from New Delhi at 9:40 PM and reach Varanasi at 7:10 AM the next day. The train is planned to operate six days a week. Please note that an official confirmation is required before the service commences.
Stops along the route
The train is expected to halt at stations including Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, Aligarh, and Ghaziabad. These stops will provide significant convenience to passengers in these regions.
Amenities on board
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been designed to make long-distance travel more comfortable. It will consist of 16 coaches, offering various classes of travel, including 3AC (Third AC), 2AC (Second AC), and First AC. Additionally, the train is set to offer amenities such as clean berths, hygienic restrooms, automatic doors, and an excellent safety system. What might the train fare be?
For travel on the Vande Bharat train, the fare for 3AC will range from ₹2,050 to ₹2,150. For 2AC, the fare will be between ₹2,550 and ₹2,650, while travel in First AC will cost between ₹3,150 and ₹3,250. Indian Railways has set these fares.
