Through the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year is being provided directly to the bank accounts of eligible farming families across the country.
According to the official PM Kisan portal, eligible families receive ₹6,000 annually; this amount is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The 23rd installment was released on June 20, 2026. Farmers are now eagerly awaiting the 24th installment. Farmers are advised to verify the authenticity of any information related to PM-KISAN before sharing it and to rely solely on official sources for scheme-related details.
Check e-KYC First
e-KYC is mandatory for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC should do so promptly. e-KYC can be completed via the PM-KISAN portal or mobile app using an OTP; a mobile number linked to Aadhaar is required for verification. Common Service Centres (CSCs) offer options for biometric e-KYC, and the PM Kisan mobile app provides face authentication.
Linking Aadhaar with Bank Account
Linking Aadhaar with the bank account is mandatory. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, PM Kisan funds are transferred to eligible farmers’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Linking Aadhaar to the bank account is a prerequisite for availing the scheme’s benefits.
When will the 24th Installment released?
Claims regarding various dates for the 24th installment of the PM Kisan scheme are circulating on social media. Consequently, people are wondering whether the ₹2,000 payment will be released on September 30. However, the central government has not yet made any official announcement regarding this.
