The story of Phulera, in the color of reality
As we all know, the whole story of Panchayat revolves around a village named Phulera, where there are some simple people and some who always keep plotting some "conspiracy".
Its first three seasons have been loved by the audience. All the characters of this series and their rural look have been liked by the people. But do you know, these characters did not get this look so easily? There is an interesting story behind this too.
When local clothes betrayed!
Panchayat was based on the village, so the costume designers thought why not buy the clothes of the actors from the local market? This will give the characters a real village feel. But, this decision proved wrong in a few days!
What actually happened?
According to IMDb, when these local clothes taken for the characters were washed for the first time, they shrunk and became small! This happened because the clothes were cheap and their quality was not good. This move of the makers and costume designers backfired.
What happened next?
After the clothes became small, the makers decided that now only branded clothes will be taken, but such that they look cheap and fit according to the village environment. Imagine, how much effort has to be done to make a character look 'real'!
Wearing sweaters in 40 degree heat!
Another thing that hardly anyone would know is that a winter scene in the series was shot in scorching heat. Yes, in the Republic Day scene, the entire cast had to wear sweaters in the heat of about 40 degree Celsius! Seeing that scene, no one can say that the actors were shooting in such heat. This is truly the result of the hard work of the actors.
