While the launch date remains unannounced, recent leaks have revealed information regarding its price and configuration. It is speculated that the OnePlus 16 will be available in four RAM and storage variants.

According to X (formerly Twitter) user @OnePlusClub, the 8GB RAM model will return with the OnePlus 16. This specific model had been absent from the company’s flagship lineup since the launch of the OnePlus 11 in 2023.

Major Design Changes?

A teaser released on social media reveals a circular camera design on the phone’s back panel. The device may feature a dual-camera setup on the rear, accompanied by an LED flash. Renders of this upcoming OnePlus phone, also showcasing the circular camera design, had previously surfaced online.

Although the company has not officially confirmed the authenticity of this specific OnePlus 16 poster, it bears a striking resemblance to an official promotional image. The company’s Brand Manager has confirmed a 13% year-on-year increase in OnePlus sales. Furthermore, the company is developing three exclusive gaming technologies—Fengchi Gaming Kernel, Extreme High Refresh Rate, and Esports Triple-Chip—all of which are expected to be featured in the OnePlus 16.

The price for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of this anticipated handset could start at CNY 4,999 (approximately ₹71,000). The 12GB + 256GB model might be priced at CNY 5,499 (approximately ₹77,600), while the 512GB model could cost CNY 5,999 (approximately ₹84,700).

A limited-edition variant of the OnePlus 16, featuring 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, is also reportedly in the works; it is expected to be priced at CNY 7,499 (approximately ₹1.05 lakh). Leaks suggest that OnePlus might not launch a 24GB RAM variant of this upcoming flagship this year.

This OnePlus flagship phone may feature a 6.78-inch OLED display panel with 1.5K resolution and an 185Hz refresh rate. It is expected to come with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.

It is speculated to launch with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. The flagship phone might house a 9000mAh battery and support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. A 200MP dual-camera setup is expected on the back of the smartphone.
