Norton Atlas Production Begins at TVS Hosur Plant – Photos

The image shows the first production unit of the Norton Atlas, which has rolled off the assembly line at TVS's Hosur plant. This bike showcases its adventurous look with a dark-coloured finish. With its 19-inch front wheel and sturdy steel trellis frame, it is also ready for off-roading. This is the moment when the Norton name emerges as a completely new model for the first time since the 2020 acquisition of TV0.

TVS's Hosur plant, located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, is one of the company's most modern manufacturing facilities. The image shows the plant's huge exterior, where TVS assembles its bikes, as well as the BMW G 310 series. This is where the Norton Atlas will now be built. Norton's Solihull facility is currently busy producing the Manx R, so the Hosur plant was chosen for the Atlas – a natural choice.

The image closely captures the heart of the Norton Atlas – the 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The engine produces 70bhp and 57.5 Nm of torque. It has a 270-degree firing order, which gives it a unique sound. The engine meets Euro 5 emission norms, making it ready for sale in European markets.

This picture shows the synergy between Norton's Solihull headquarters and the Hosur plant. The Atlas and Atlas GT have been designed and engineered by Norton's British team, while production will take place in Hosur. According to Norton CEO Richard Arnold, "Norton is a British brand with design and engineering in the UK, and through TVS, it has a global manufacturing and distribution network."

This photo shows the Atlas GT, which is a more road-focused version of the Atlas. It features 17-inch alloy wheels, making it ideal for sport-touring. The Atlas GT is for riders who prefer to ride on highways and winding roads more than off-road. Its seating position and handlebar geometry are slightly different from the standard Atlas.

This picture, which closely shows the 8-inch TFT touchscreen display of the Atlas, shows how tech-savvy this bike is. The display comes with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and GoPro integration. Apart from this, it offers features such as smartphone connectivity, keyless ignition, and heated grips (in the Apex variant). The display is also glove-friendly, so it can be operated even with gloves.

This image shows the advanced electronics package of Norton Atlas. It is equipped with Bosch's 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) that enables lean-sensitive rider aids. This means the bike can adjust braking and traction based on the lean angle. It comes with 5 riding modes – Urban, Rain, Sport, Tour, and Enduro – along with features like cornering cruise control, wheelie control, and hill hold.

The photo shows the 43mm inverted KYB forks of the Atlas, which are fully adjustable and offer 180mm of travel. There is also an adjustable monoshock at the rear. At the front, there are radial Brembo callipers with twin 320mm discs, which come with cornering ABS. This combination gives it the best braking and suspension setup in its segment.

This picture shows Norton's new logo, introduced as part of the brand's "Resurgence" (Resurgence). The new logo is modern but reflects Norton's legacy. It is inspired by the company's activities of the last five years. "It's faithful to Norton's past but fitting for Norton's new era," said Christoph Hohmann, Norton's chief marketing officer.

This photo shows the snowy trails of Iceland, where the International Media Ride of Norton Atlas will be held. Norton has announced that the media ride will take place in Iceland in July, with a perfect location to showcase the bike's adventure capabilities. Sales are expected to start in Q3 2026.

The image shows the TVS Paddock—the company's premium retail network—through which the Norton Atlas will be available in India. Norton has confirmed that the Atlas will be available in India by the end of 2026, sold through the TVS Paddock network. The Paddock network will begin operations in the second quarter of FY 2027.
