Audi Q3 SUV: The Audi Q3 holds a distinct identity among premium compact SUV buyers in India. Now, this popular SUV is set to receive a new variant featuring a major overhaul. Audi India has released a teaser for the new-generation Q3, clearly indicating that its launch in India is imminent. The third-generation Audi Q3 has already debuted in global markets, and Indian consumers are eagerly awaiting its arrival. Audi has teased the new Q3 ahead of its launch in India. It is expected to feature a new design, a large digital cabin, and a powerful 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Design

The new 2026 Audi Q3’s design is the first thing that catches the eye. While the previous Q3 was known for its simplicity and understated premium style, the new generation looks far more aggressive and striking. Audi has adopted its latest design language, significantly enhancing the SUV’s road presence.

The front features a large grille adorned with the new 2D Audi logo. The most notable change is the split lighting setup, featuring slim LED daytime running lights at the top and main LED headlights positioned below. Gloss-black elements further contribute to the front’s sporty appearance.

Body-colored wheel arch cladding lends a premium finish, while wheel options ranging from 17 to 20 inches are available across different markets. At the rear, a chunky D-pillar, split tail lights, a connected light bar, an illuminated Audi logo, and a sporty bumper complete the design. The new Q3 is approximately 40 mm longer than the current model.

Interior

The Indian model is expected to feature an all-black interior with contrasting red highlights. The dashboard’s main attraction will be a 12.8-inch infotainment display, likely accompanied by an 11.9-inch digital driver display.

Silver accents on the dashboard and door trims, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel, and newly designed seats will help create a more modern cabin atmosphere. Features such as Audi’s new light and wiper control stalks, adjustable under-thigh support, powered seats, and ventilated seats also enhance comfort.

2.0-litre Turbo Petrol Engine

In terms of performance, the new Audi Q3 is likely to be launched in India with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine is expected to deliver approximately 204 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. It may be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

This setup will appeal to those who desire a blend of a comfortable luxury SUV and a spirited driving experience. The Quattro AWD system ensures superior traction on rough or slippery roads, while the turbo-petrol engine offers brisk acceleration on the highway.

Competition

The new Audi Q3 will directly challenge cars like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA in India’s premium compact SUV segment. In this segment, buyers look beyond just the brand name; design, technology, comfort, and the driving experience play crucial roles.

The new Q3’s more attractive design and digital cabin could make it a stronger contender compared to the outgoing model. While pricing details have not yet been revealed, current estimates place it around the ₹50 lakh mark.
