Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift: Maruti Suzuki vehicles are a common sight on Indian roads, but the company is now making changes to one of its most popular hatchbacks—a move that has become a talking point across the entire auto sector. Yes, we are talking about the Baleno Facelift, which is set to hit the market soon with a fresh look. The Baleno facelift may feature a new front design along with a unique CNG-AMT combination. Here are the full details about this upcoming hatchback.

Launch

Let’s start with the launch: the date is reportedly finalised for the first week of September—specifically, September 5th—when Maruti is set to launch the Baleno Facelift. Test mules have been spotted on the roads multiple times prior to the launch, offering clear hints about the changes the car will undergo. However, while no major design overhaul is expected, the real surprise lies in the transmission.

Design

The first thing you will notice about this facelift is its updated front fascia. A new bumper design and a fresh grille will give the car a more contemporary look. Additionally, a connected LED light bar or a chrome element might be included, visually splitting the grille into two sections.

However, the car’s overall silhouette will remain similar to the outgoing model, ensuring a familiar look for Baleno fans. As for the wheels, it may get new 16-inch alloy wheels, while only minor changes are expected at the rear. Notably, the taillamp design will remain unchanged.

Cabin and Features

The interior may feature a new theme designed to make the car feel brand new the moment you step inside. Minor dashboard tweaks are also expected. While existing features like the Head-Up Display and 360-degree camera will be retained, the company might also introduce some new additions. It is expected to include features such as ventilated seats, an electric sunroof, a large touchscreen, a wireless charger, and an improved sound system; overall, the cabin experience could be far more premium than before.

Safety and Engine

Maruti does not appear to be compromising on safety. Features like parking sensors, a reverse camera, ABS, EBD, ESP, hill hold assist, and six airbags will be retained. There will be no changes to the engine either; it will continue to use the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 90 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission options will still include both a 5-speed manual and an AMT, though there is strong speculation that an AMT option will be added to the CNG variant this time.
