Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S BaaS: Mahindra has introduced a new option for electric car buyers. The company has now extended the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option to its XEV 9e and XEV 9S electric SUVs. The aim is to make EV ownership easier for more people by lowering the starting price. Mahindra has included the XEV 9e and XEV 9S in the BaaS model, reducing the price of both electric SUVs by up to ₹8 lakh.

Price Reduced by ₹8 Lakh

The biggest benefit of Mahindra’s BaaS model is the reduction in price. For context, the starting price of the XEV 9S without BaaS is ₹20.65 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at ₹21.90 lakh. Thanks to the BaaS model, the price has dropped by ₹8 lakh; consequently, the starting price for the Mahindra XEV 9S is now ₹12.65 lakh, and for the XEV 9e, it is ₹13.90 lakh.

BE 6 Sporteq Variants

Mahindra has not limited this offering to just the XEV 9e and XEV 9S; the company has also extended the BaaS option to all BE 6 Sporteq variants. Previously, this option was available only for the ‘Pack One’ and ‘Pack Two’ variants of the BE 6 Sporteq, which came with a smaller 59kWh battery. Now, the company has included all variants in the BaaS program.

Born Electric Cars

With this new update, all of Mahindra’s ‘Born Electric’ cars are now available under the BaaS program. The company’s objective is clear: to make EV ownership more accessible to a wider audience by lowering the starting price of these electric cars. Mahindra XEV 9e and XEV 9S BaaS, Mahindra
