Who will not receive the subsidy?

In reality, starting October 1st, only the government subsidy for consumers without e-KYC will be stopped; your gas connection will remain active. Consumers who do not complete e-KYC after October 1st will have to purchase LPG cylinders at market rates. Therefore, the government advises completing e-KYC to ensure continued receipt of the subsidy.

It is important to note that, according to the rules set by oil companies (such as Indane, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas) and the Ministry of Petroleum, no consumer’s gas connection will be disconnected for failing to complete e-KYC.

What will be the impact of not completing e-KYC from October 1st?

– Consumers who do not complete e-KYC will stop receiving the subsidy benefit of approximately ₹210 per cylinder. – If you do not receive the ₹210 subsidy, you will have to purchase the gas cylinder at the market price.
– Your connection will remain active even if e-KYC is not completed.
– Once you complete your biometric verification, you will resume receiving cylinders at the subsidised rate.
– Consumers who have already completed their biometric e-KYC do not need to do it again.

– First, download the app and log in.
– You will see a ‘Menu’ option on the home page; click on it.
– Next, click on the ‘My Profile’ option.
– You will see the ‘Re-KYC Status’ here.
– If the KYC status shows ‘Valid’, your e-KYC is complete.
