According to the price list released by Indian Oil, the cost of commercial cylinders was increased on May 1st, while the prices of domestic cylinders have remained unchanged. On May 1st, the price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi rose by ₹993, bringing the total to ₹3,071.50. Previously, the price stood at ₹2,078.50. Conversely, ordinary consumers faced no price shock, as no changes were made to the cost of the standard 14.2 kg domestic cylinder. It can still be purchased for ₹913.
Check Cylinder Prices in Uttar Pradesh
Following the hike, the price of a commercial cylinder in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, rose to ₹3,125.50 today. Previously, the price was ₹2,132.50. In total, the price of the cylinder increased by ₹993. There was no change in the prices of domestic cylinders; today, a domestic cylinder is selling here for ₹924.50.
In Gorakhpur, a domestic LPG cylinder is available today for ₹975, while the price of a commercial cylinder has now reached ₹3,255.50. Previously, the rate for a commercial cylinder in this region was ₹2,262.50. Starting today, cylinders here are being sold at a price reaching up to ₹993. In Lucknow, while a domestic cylinder is available for ₹950.50, a commercial cylinder has now risen to ₹3,194. Previously, it cost ₹2,201.

In Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at ₹916.50. The price of a commercial cylinder has risen to ₹3,099. Previously, the cost of a commercial cylinder here stood at ₹2,031. In Mumbai, the price of a commercial cylinder has increased to ₹3,024 starting today; it previously cost ₹2,031. The price of a domestic LPG cylinder stands at ₹912.50.
In Kolkata, the price of a commercial gas cylinder has surged to ₹3,202. Previously, it was available for ₹2,208. In Patna, the price of a domestic cylinder is recorded at ₹1,011 today; there has been no change in the price of this cylinder. In Chennai, the price of a commercial cylinder has risen to ₹3,237; previously, the price here was ₹2,246.50. The price of a domestic cylinder stands at ₹928.
5-kg Cylinder Also Becomes More Expensive
The price hike of ₹993 for commercial LPG cylinders has come as a disappointment to the public. On the other hand, the 5-kg cylinder has also become more expensive. According to ANI, a hike of ₹261 per cylinder was recorded in the price of the 5-kilogram Free Trade LPG cylinder. With this increase of ₹261, the price of the 5-kg FTA cylinder has risen to ₹1,754.50. The revised prices have been implemented with immediate effect.
