Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025: The great festival of folk faith in Bihar, Chaiti Chhath, will start from April 1 with Nahai-Khai. Preparations are in full swing in the state for this. The cleaning of the ghats is in its final stage. Chaiti Chhath starts from the Chaturthi date of the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month and continues till Saptami. Chhath devotees worship Sun God and Chhathi Maiya with devotion and enthusiasm.
Chaiti Chhath Puja 2025 Date
The Chaiti Chhath Mahaparva starts from April 1. Kharna is on April 2. On April 3, water will be offered to the setting sun. The 4-day long Mahaparva will end by offering water to the rising sun on April 4.
Chaiti Chhath Puja Nahai Khai
The first day of the puja on Tuesday, April 1 is Nahai Khai. On this day, the devotees will go to the river or pond and take a bath. Then they consume pure food. On this day, pumpkin vegetable, gram dal, rice are specially prepared. The taste of this food is different.
Chaiti Chhath Puja Kharna?
Kharna is the second day of Chhath Puja on Wednesday, April 2. On this day, the devotees observe Nirjala fast for the whole day. Sun God is worshipped in the evening. In this, kheer made of jaggery, roti and banana prasad are offered. Kharna prasad is called Mahaprasad. The difficult Nirjala fast of 36 hours starts from Kharna itself.
Chaiti Chhath Puja Sandhya Arghya
Thursday, April 3 is the third day of Chaitra Chhath Puja. On this day, the devotees will offer the first offering to the Sun. In the evening, the Sun God will be worshipped in a river or pond and prasad like fruits, flowers and Thekua will be offered.
Arghya to the rising sun
Friday, April 4 is the fourth and last day of Chaitra Chhath Puja. On this day, the devotees will offer offering to Lord Bhaskar early in the morning. After offering arghya, the Chhath Prasad will be distributed among everyone. Then the devotees will break their waterless fast.
