Thanks to a blistering innings of 175 runs by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, India set a massive target of 412 runs for England. Chasing the target, the English team was bowled out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs. With this victory, the Indian team has won the Under-19 World Cup a record sixth time.

The Indian cricket team has won the ICC Under-19 World Cup six times so far. They previously won the title in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, and 2022. This was India’s sixth title win in the final. In total, the Indian team has played in the final 10 times, finishing as runners-up on four occasions. On the other hand, England has won the Under-19 World Cup only once.

They defeated New Zealand in the 1998 final. England’s run chase didn’t start well, and they lost the wicket of Joseph Moores for just 17 runs. After that, Ben Dawkins and Ben Mayes added 74 runs for the second wicket. Khilan Patel broke this partnership by dismissing Mayes.
