Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who dominated the English team with his explosive batting, scored 175 runs. He faced 80 balls, hitting 15 sixes and 15 fours. Most notably, he completed his century in just 55 balls. This century is the second fastest in the history of this tournament.

Previously, Australia’s Will Malajczuk scored a century off 51 balls against Japan. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also joined the list of the youngest batsmen to score a century in the history of this tournament. This is considered a major achievement for him.

Another Record to His Name

Vaibhav Suryavanshi also set the record for hitting the most sixes in the history of an ICC tournament. He surpassed South Africa’s Dewald Brevis, who had hit 18 sixes in 2024. Suryavanshi hit eight sixes during the match.
