Republic Day 2026: On Kartavya Path in the capital city of Delhi, the entire world will witness the prowess of India’s armed forces today, and all eyes are on this event. These are Antonio Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. This year’s Republic Day Theme
The theme for the 77th Republic Day is the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. This theme reflects the 150-year-old significance of the national song and the freedom, cultural consciousness, and patriotism it inspires. Composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, this song is the central focus of this year’s parade, tableaux, and cultural programs.
