Monsoon Alert – Heavy Rain Warning Issued in These States, Thunderstorms Expected

Monsoon Alert: The weather is changing once again. The dense fog has slowed, but snowfall is still prevalent in the mountains. Due to the continuous snowfall, temperatures are dropping below freezing in many places. The heat has begun to rage in the last week of February, just like in mid-March.

Cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, and rain in some areas, we can expect to experience all three seasons today. Temperatures are also dropping in Delhi NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. Rain fell late last night in some parts of South India, leading to a drop in temperatures. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in several states across the country.

Heavy rain warning issued in several states

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for thunderstorms and lightning in various states across the country. The International Monetary Fund (IMD) has issued a rain alert for Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Assam. In addition, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh are likely to experience heavy rainfall.

The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at several locations in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is expected on February 26-28. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, and Rayalaseema may also experience rainfall until February 28.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?

The IMD has predicted stable weather in Delhi-NCR for the time being. A rain alert has been issued for the next 24 to 48 hours. However, temperatures have already begun to rise gradually. According to the IMD, an alert has been issued for light winds blowing at a speed of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in Uttar Pradesh for the time being. Temperatures are expected to continue to rise. Day lengths and temperatures are expected to trend upward sharply in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Prayagraj, and surrounding districts.

On the other hand, the weather in Uttarakhand is also expected to change. The IMD has issued a rain alert for several districts on February 27th. A snowfall warning has been issued for high-altitude areas. The weather is expected to deteriorate in areas like Dehradun, Nainital, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi.

Himachal Weather

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the winter season will continue in Himachal Pradesh. The weather has once again taken a turn for the worse. The International Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert that heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh between February 26 and 28. Furthermore, snowfall is also possible in many areas.
