Kia Carnival Hybrid Launch Date: The Kia Carnival Hybrid is set to launch in India on September 4, 2026. It is expected to feature a powerful hybrid engine, a spacious and comfortable cabin, impressive features, and superior fuel efficiency. Notably, it will come with a more efficient powertrain compared to the current diesel Carnival. The company has already confirmed the arrival of the Carnival Hybrid in India, and the launch date has now been revealed. Let’s take a look at the details.
1.6-Litre Turbo Petrol Engine
The Kia Carnival Hybrid will pair a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor. It is expected to come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid system will incorporate a 54kW electric motor.
The combined output of this powertrain is approximately 242hp and 367Nm of torque. If this setup makes it to the Indian model, the Carnival Hybrid could prove to be not just a comfortable family MPV but also a high-performance premium vehicle. It will feature a full parallel hybrid system.

Interior
When it comes to the interior, the Kia Carnival Hybrid’s spaciousness stands out. It is expected to accommodate up to eight occupants, making it an excellent choice for large families.
Top-spec versions are expected to offer second-row relaxation seats. It may also include powered second-row seats with recline and ottoman functions. Heated and ventilated seats will further enhance its premium appeal.
Premium Features
In terms of features, it may come with dual 12.3-inch displays—one serving as the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. An 11-inch head-up display is also expected. Other features will likely include a Bose audio system, a digital rear-view mirror, Kia Connect, and wireless smartphone connectivity. A shift-by-wire gear selector and a dual sunroof could also lend the cabin a more upmarket feel.
Advanced Safety and ADAS
The new Kia Carnival Hybrid will come equipped with several safety features, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning.

Additionally, features such as Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Smart Cruise Control will be available. These technologies can assist the driver, particularly on the highway, and make long journeys more comfortable.
19-Inch Alloy Wheels
In terms of exterior design, the Carnival Hybrid will feature 19-inch glossy black alloy wheels. It will also come with Dark Edition styling accents, LED projector headlamps, and LED tail lamps.
