The state government has begun the recruitment process for 1,649 Assistant Teacher positions in primary schools. This recruitment is being conducted under the Basic Education Department (Uttarakhand). Candidates who have passed the TET (Tet) exam are eligible for this position.

Application Dates and Process
The application process for these positions began on November 8, 2025. Candidates must submit their applications by November 30, 2025. This recruitment process has vacancies in several districts, including Tehri, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Bageshwar, Nainital, and Dehradun. The application process will be entirely offline.
Qualifications and Age Limit
To apply for the Assistant Teacher position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
A Graduation degree from a recognised university.
D.El.Ed. or BTC training certificate.
Passing the Uttarakhand TET exam is mandatory.
Age Limit:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 42 years (as of July 1, 2025)
Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government rules.
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- OBC candidates: 3 years
- Persons with Disabilities: Up to 10 years relaxation
Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month. This salary is based on the Level-6 pay scale. Additionally, you will also receive benefits like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other government allowances.
