UPSRTC Recruitment: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has made a major announcement for women by opening the recruitment of 5000 women conductors on a contractual basis. The move is part of the government’s initiative to empower women and give them local, secure employment. The highlight of this recruitment process is that chosen candidates will be appointed in their hometowns, where they will be able to work in a safe environment near their families. Employment fairs are being held in different districts from April 8, 2025. Following are the key details regarding the recruitment process.
UPSRTC Recruitment Process and Employment Fairs
The recruitment process for women conductors is being carried out through local employment fairs, which will be organized in various districts of Uttar Pradesh. Potential applicants can make online applications on the official UPSRTC website (upsrtc.com). The dates and venues of the employment fairs have already been notified, so that women are able to join the selection process as per their convenience. These fairs will be a platform for preliminary choices and are a part of the state’s efforts to generate new employment opportunities for women and make them economically empowered.

Government to Sponsor Training Costs
A thrilling feature of this hiring is that the full expense of training chosen female conductors will be borne by the government. Training will be given under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) and the National Rural Livelihood Mission so that women are given required skills to perform the job. This scheme will enable women to acquire important skills without cost, becoming independent and more ready for their roles as conductors.
How This Initiative Empowers Women
In offering secure and local job opportunities, the UPSRTC initiative is more than just about creating employment; it’s about promoting economic independence and empowering women in the state. The recruitment drive is one step closer to shattering age-old employment hurdles for women so that they can contribute to the workforce as much as their male counterparts, with a balance of their private lives.
