The UP Police Recruitment Board has announced that after conducting the written examination for the Direct Recruitment-2023 for 60,244 Constable Civil Police positions on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31, 2024, the consolidated selection lists have been published. These lists, which detail the candidates selected for the available positions, can be found on the board’s official website at https://uppbpb.gov.in. The selections are based on the merit order of the normalized scores achieved in the written exam, as well as the successful completion of record scrutiny, physical standard tests, and physical efficiency tests, in accordance with the vertical and horizontal reservation policies.
For those candidates who passed the UP Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a selection list has been created for each category, reflecting the reservation policy and arranged by the normalized marks from the written examination. The selected candidates for the 60,244 constable roles will participate in a collective training program lasting nine months. This will begin with a one-month initial training (JTC) conducted across all 75 districts, followed by an additional nine months of basic training at various centers.
Regarding the results and merit rules, the merit list is determined solely by the scores from the written examination, while the physical test serves as a qualifying measure. The marks from the written exam have been normalized for fairness.
– The UP Police Recruitment Board hasn’t created any waiting list.
– According to the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, if multiple candidates score the same marks, preference goes to those who hold an NCC B certificate, a DOEACC O level certificate, or have two years of experience in the Territorial Army. If candidates with equal scores lack these qualifications, the older candidates will be ranked higher.
– If there’s still a tie in scores, the board checks the spelling of the candidates’ names as listed on their 10th-grade certificates. The candidate whose name appears first in alphabetical order will be ranked higher on the merit list.
