How to update a photo in an Aadhaar card

There is no direct online facility available to update the photo in the Aadhaar card. For this, you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrolment Center. This is the complete process:

First of all, go to the official website of UIDAI, uidai.gov.in, and download the Aadhaar Enrollment Form. You can also get this form from the nearest Aadhaar Service Center.

Fill in all the necessary information in the form.

Visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra with the filled form. You can click on appointments.uidai.gov.in/ to locate a centre.

The Aadhaar executive at the centre will verify all your details through biometric verification.

The executive will then take a new photo of you and update it on your Aadhaar card.

You will have to pay a fee of ₹100 (including GST) for this service.

After the payment, you will be given a receipt with an update request number (URN). With this number, you can track the status of your update on the UIDAI website.
