What is the Territorial Army?

The Territorial Army is a voluntary military organization that allows civilians to serve the country while continuing their job or business. It is not a permanent job, but a part-time volunteer service.

Established in 1948, the TA has played a key role in several major operations, including the wars of 1962, 1965, 1971, and the Kargil War of 1999. The Territorial Army works shoulder to shoulder with the regular army during emergencies, natural disasters, and national security situations.
