SBI CBO Recruitment 2025 Reopened : State Bank of India (SBI) has resumed the online application process for Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2025. This recruitment is being done under advertisement number CRPD/CBO/2025-26/03. This is another opportunity for those candidates who had not applied earlier. The special thing is that this time the eligibility rules have been changed for the candidates of Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, after which the application portal has been reopened.

Applications started again due to new changes

Now those candidates can also apply who are from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland and who have studied English subject in class 10th or 12th. They are now considered eligible for the North East Circle, provided they can provide proof of studying English subject through their mark sheet or certificate. After this change, the opportunity to apply has been given again.

Total posts and category wise details

A total of 2964 posts will be filled in this recruitment process, out of which 2600 posts are regular and 364 are reserved for backlog. All the posts come under different circles and candidates can apply for only one circle.

Important information related to eligibility

Only those candidates can apply for this post who have obtained a graduation degree from any recognized university and have at least two years of experience at the officer level in any scheduled commercial bank or regional rural bank.

Talking about age, the age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years, which will be calculated as per 30 April 2025. Age relaxation will be given for 5 years for Scheduled Caste / Tribe, 3 years for Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 to 15 years for Divyang category.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process will first include an online exam, followed by screening, interview and local language test. The final merit will be prepared on the basis of the ratio of online exam and interview in 75:25.

The online exam will have a total of 120 objective questions, which will include questions related to English language, banking knowledge, general awareness/economy and computer aptitude. This exam will be of two hours. After this, there will also be a descriptive exam of 30 minutes, in which candidates will have to write a letter and essay. This descriptive exam will be of a total of 50 marks. There will be no negative marking in this entire exam.

Pay Scale and Application Fee

The selected candidates will get an initial basic salary of ₹48,480, which will also include two additional increments. Apart from this, other allowances will also be available which will be as per the policy of the bank.

Talking about the application fee, candidates of General, OBC and EWS category will have to pay ₹ 750, while no fee will be charged from SC, ST and Divyang candidates.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the bank, bank.sbi/web/careers. The last date for application has been kept as 30 June 2025. While applying, candidates have to upload a scanned copy of their photo, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration, educational and experience certificate, and identity card.

Important instructions

Every candidate can apply for only one circle and it is mandatory for him to have knowledge of the local language of that circle, unless he has passed that language during school studies. In such a case, it will be necessary to show the relevant certificate.
