The RRB NTPC Vacancy 2025 application process has commenced, presenting a new chance for candidates interested in working in the government sector of the railways. The recruitment process calls for 12th pass students to fill various clerical and ticketing posts in different Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) of India. Eligibility Criteria

In order to fill out the RRB NTPC Vacancy 2025 application, one should have passed 12th standard from a recognized board of education. For an account such as Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Train Clerk, 50% marks is necessary, though there is an exemption of this percentage requirement for SC, ST, and PwD applicants. Type-writing skill is necessary for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist — 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on computer.

The age is between 18 and 30 years as on January 1, 2026. Relaxations are for reserved categories: five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process

  • Two-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 1 and CBT 2) will be held for all the posts.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2 from the normalized scores of CBT 1.
  • A Typing Skill Test will be conducted for clerical posts after CBT 2.
  • There is a penalty of one-third mark for each incorrect answer in CBT.
  • 100 questions are provided in CBT 1 on General Awareness, Mathematics, and Reasoning.

Zone-Wise Vacancies

This year, the recruitment is for 3058 total posts in 21 RRB zones. The main openings are for Kolkata (499), Mumbai (494), Prayagraj (303), and Ahmedabad (153). Vacancies are allotted for General, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories in order to have fair representation for all qualified candidates.

Application Fees and Refund Policy

The application fee is ₹500 for open category candidates and ₹250 for SC, ST, women, EBC, and PwD candidates. ₹400 will be refunded to general category candidates and a full refund to others after appearing for CBT 1 exam. Payments are accepted online via debit card, credit card, or net banking facilities.
