iPhone Duo: Apple has launched its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. It features a large 7.6-inch inner screen, giving users an expansive display when unfolded. Its design is similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. Alongside the iPhone Duo, the company has launched the iPhone 18 Pro series, a new Apple Watch, and new AirPods.
The iPhone Duo starts at ₹3 lakh for the 256GB model, while the top-end variant—offering 512GB and 1TB storage—is priced at ₹4.50 lakh. Key specifications include a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display; both utilise Super Retina XDR AMOLED panels. iPhone Duo Features
The iPhone Duo runs on Apple’s new A20 Pro chipset, paired with a custom vapour chamber to prevent overheating. According to the company, this chip delivers up to 35% better performance during sustained use compared to the iPhone 17 Pro. Additionally, the device features a dual-battery setup that provides up to 24 hours of battery life under normal usage across both screens.
iPhone Duo Camera
For photography, the iPhone Duo includes a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera and a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra-Wide camera. Its foldable design enables features such as taking selfies using the rear cameras. Users can also shoot photos and videos using “Duo Preview” mode and the external screen. The iPhone Duo also introduces the Split Screen feature for the first time. This feature was not supported on any Apple device.
