The Honor X8e 4G: So you know how entry phones these days kinda push this whole big battery numbers thing, and then they stack on the camera megapixel flex, like it’s always about that paper spec vibe. And honestly, yeah, people do fall for it, at least a bit. Anyway, Honor has now released the X8e 4G, and the written specs look pretty solid for the segment they’re aiming at. It popped up on Honor’s official Azerbaijan page, but for India there’s still no clean launch plan, so we’re basically stitching together the details from what’s already showing.
Launch and price
Honor hasn’t said an India launch date, and there isn’t final pricing either. In Azerbaijan, though, local listings point to something like AZN 688 to AZN 820, which is about $400 to $480, for the 6GB + 256GB variant. The colour options being mentioned are Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold, and Velvet Black. Since India’s timing isn’t officially locked, any “price in rupees” you see is mostly someone guessing, not an actual announcement.

Display and design
Up front you get a 6.87-inch TFT LCD, 720 x 1,592 pixels, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. They claim peak brightness can hit 1,020 nits. It probably won’t feel super crisp like higher-tier panels, but 120 Hz should still make swiping and scrolling feel smoother day to day. Honor also talks about drop resistance up to 2.5 metres in test conditions, plus an SGS drop and crush protection label, even if it’s a bit unclear what that label is linked to, exactly. And if you’re thinking, “Is this thing durable enough?” then yeah, IP68 and IP69K ratings are listed for water and dust, so it’s not being vague about protection.
Performance and software
Inside the Honor X8e 4G uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685, so it’s not really the newest chipset in the world. You’re getting 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. There’s also “RAM Turbo” for virtual memory, and Honour says it’s basically in the zone of 8GB + 16GB. Software-wise it’s MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. Regular use should feel ok, but for serious gaming, don’t get your hopes set too high.

Camera
This is the piece folks will notice first. On the back there’s a 108MP main camera sensor. Video tops out at 1080p, which feels a little limited for a phone leading with “108MP” on the marketing side. There’s also 8x digital zoom, so the real quality will depend more on processing rather than a dedicated tele lens, which is kind of expected but still.
Battery and charging
Now the battery is the headline: a 7,700 mAh cell. Charging support is 45W Honor SuperCharge, so refills should be relatively fast, and the bigger capacity should help it last through the day more comfortably. In this price band, it’s definitely leaning toward the “bigger battery” approach rather than minimalist numbers.
Connectivity
It’s 4G only. For wireless, you get Wi‑Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. No 5G is included, and if you keep phones for multiple years, missing 5G might start feeling like a real limitation later on.

Verdict
If Honor actually brings the X8e 4G to India, it could work for buyers who care about a large battery, a sturdier build feel, and that 108MP camera specification… while staying closer to a tight budget. Still, there are tradeoffs: the display resolution is not premium, the chipset is older, and there’s no 5G. For now, it’s probably smarter to wait for an official India update, because right now this is confirmed mostly for some overseas markets, and beyond that it’s still kinda unclear, plain and simple.
