Indian Railways: Exciting news for train travelers. In light of the large number of passengers and the need for convenience, the East Central Railway has decided to extend the operation period of 11 pairs of special trains! Now, trains heading to Pune, New Delhi, Anand Vihar, and Udhna will continue to operate according to the updated schedule.

Key trains and their extended periods

Pune – Danapur Special: running daily until 28.09.26
Barauni/Darbhanga – New Delhi Clone: operating daily until 31.07.26

Danapur/Sheikhpura/Muzaffarpur/Purnia/Saharsa – Anand Vihar Special extended through July/August

Udhna – Madhubani/Jhanjharpur Special: available until 26.07.26

The Pune-Danapur special train will operate until September

As per the Railways, the 01449/01450 Pune-Danapur-Pune Special train will run until September 28 and 30, 2026. This service will greatly assist passengers traveling between Maharashtra and Bihar, as this route is consistently busy with travelers.

Extension for Delhi route trains

The East Central Railway has also prolonged the operation of the Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special and the Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special. These trains will keep running until the end of July and the beginning of August, respectively, offering relief to passengers on the Rajdhani route.

Benefits for passengers heading to Anand Vihar

The duration of several special trains from Danapur, Sheikhpura, Muzaffarpur, Purnia Court, and Saharsa to Anand Vihar has also been extended. This move by the Railways will aid passengers traveling to and from Delhi and the NCR region for work, education, and business.

Increased operations on the Gujarat route

The Udhna-Madhubani and Udhna-Jhanjharpur special trains will also continue to run as scheduled. This will facilitate easier travel for migrant workers from Bihar in Gujarat and other passengers.

Railway’s initiative to ease crowding

Railway officials state that this decision has been made considering the month of Sawan, the return from holidays, and the number of regular passengers. The operation of special trains will alleviate the pressure on regular trains and enhance the likelihood of passengers securing confirmed seats.
