According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued given light rain in the upper areas of Ladakh and Sikkim. Cyclonic circulation has become active in Assam and its surrounding areas.

If IMD is believed, the weather will change again due to the western disturbance from March 9. A new western disturbance is going to be active in the mountains from March 10 to 12. Due to this, an alert has been issued regarding rain with thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Apart from this, the period of snowfall may also continue. IMD has issued a warning given rain with strong winds in Bihar on March 8. Also, heavy rains with lightning and thunderstorms can be recorded in Sikkim from March 7 to 8.
