India’s military strength will increase.
This visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin is being described as very special. India will receive the delivery of this submarine within the next two years. According to Navy Chief Dinesh K. Tripathi, India wants to receive this nuclear submarine by 2027.
This is the second nuclear submarine India is acquiring from Russia. Previously, in 2012, it leased the INS Chakra submarine from Russia for 10 years. If this happens, two of the neighbouring enemies are sure to lose sleep.
Pakistan and China will be sleeple.ss
For information, nuclear-powered submarines are far superior to diesel-electric submarines. They are typically larger, can remain underwater for longer periods, and are quieter, making them more difficult to detect.
This will be especially difficult to detect when patrolling vast areas of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, which has caused China sleepless nights. According to NTI, India currently operates 17 diesel-powered submarines.
India’s growing strength will increase the difficulties of Pakistan, which promotes terrorism. Apart from this, India’s strength will increase significantly in responding to China’s expansionist policies.
