Ganga River is above the danger mark in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur and Ballia, and water has entered the houses. Yamuna is flowing above the red mark in Auraiya, Kalpi, Hamirpur, Prayagraj and Banda.

Betwa river is also flowing above the danger mark in Hamirpur. Flood has become a disaster in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Jalaun, Auraiya, Hamirpur, Mirzapur and Kanpur Dehat, which are among the flood-affected districts. Flood has also worsened the situation in Ballia, Banda, Etawah, Fatehpur, Kanpur Nagar and Chitrakoot.

All 84 ghats of Kashi, dozens of mohallas and hundreds of villages were submerged due to the flood after the rain. According to a media report, the flood situation remains bad in three tehsils, 28 mohallas and wards and 90 villages of Varanasi.

More than 8000 farmers have been affected by the floods. Due to heavy rains in Prayagraj for the last few days, the water level of the Ganga and Yamuna has been recorded above the danger mark of 84.73 cm. Due to this, more than 60 settlements in the city have been hit by floods.
