Heavy rain alert in these areas

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. A warning has been issued of rain with thunderstorms in Bareilly, Rampur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur. Additionally, a storm alert has been issued for Bahraich, Barabanki, Gonda, Ayodhya, Shravasti, and Balrampur, accompanied by heavy rainfall.

Apart from these, heavy rains can also occur in Varanasi, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Ballia and Mau. A yellow alert has been issued for rain in Sonbhadra, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj.

Which areas will receive rain?

According to IMD, a new western disturbance is likely to become active from May 1. An alert has been issued for thunderstorms and rain in the afternoon in many areas of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions. Even after this, the period of strong winds can continue. On May 2, rain with thunderstorms is expected in Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, and Kota. Rains accompanied by storms can occur in many areas of the Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions.
