Mumbai severe rainfall alert:- As soon as the rainy season started, rain has become a disaster in Maharashtra and Kerala. Continuous rain started in Mumbai from Monday morning, resulting in flooding in low-lying areas. Metro rail services have been affected due to heavy rains. The IMD has predicted heavy rains in the city and suburbs in the next 24 hours. People are facing numerous troubles due to the continuous heavy rains in Mumbai.
According to municipal officials, an average of 95 mm of rain has been recorded in the city of Mumbai. A 4.21-meter-high tidal wave has been predicted at 3:31 pm. A 3.44-meter-high tidal wave has been predicted at 3:31 am on Tuesday.
Red alert in Mumbai and Konkan
In the last 24 hours, after the entry of the southwest monsoon, districts such as Mumbai, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Raigad have received heavy rains. Due to heavy rains, many areas have been waterlogged.
The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange warnings due to heavy rainfall in many parts of the Konkan region, including Mumbai. It has been raining heavily in Mumbai since late at night, accompanied by showers of thunder and lightning. Mumbai officials say that there may be more heavy rain in the next few hours. Therefore, people have been advised to remain alert.

Warning of heavy rain in Kerala
In Kerala, too, life is significantly impacted by the monsoon rains. Due to continuous rainfall, the water levels of the rivers have increased, and water has entered many houses. Rail services have also been badly affected due to rain.
According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in districts such as Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Wayanad over the next few hours.
