Monsoon Update: The weather is rapidly changing across most states in the country. The Meteorological Department has predicted a Western Disturbance (WD) affecting northwest India on November 4-5, 2025. This could also alter the weather in some states. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain and snowfall in Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Rain Warning in These States
The Western Disturbance has reactivated, bringing mild morning and evening chills across several states. Its effects may be felt in western India on November 4-5. Snowfall in the hilly areas has suddenly increased the cold in the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Punjab and Haryana for the next two days. Meanwhile, some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience light rain and snowfall.

In addition to the hilly states, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow rain alert for Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Thunderstorms and lightning are likely in these states.

Weather Conditions in Gujarat and Maharashtra
The Meteorological Department has predicted lightning in Gujarat, Marathwada, Konkan, Goa, and Central Maharashtra between November 5th and 7th. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for light to moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema from November 4th to 6th. Similar weather is expected in coastal and northern interior Karnataka from November 5th to 7th.

Weather Conditions in Jharkhand and Bihar
